Federation Initiatives
Sustainability and Emissions Reduction Initiative
This initiative aims to reduce carbon and methane emissions across all stages of the supply chain and to support the transition toward more sustainable operational practices. Through this initiative, the Federation works to enhance energy efficiency and adopt modern technological solutions in emissions management and carbon capture.
- Developing precise monitoring and tracking systems for emissions, including the installation of smart sensors and advanced measurement devices, to reduce filtered gas flaring and leaks. Working toward adopting emission-reduction solutions in factories, offshore facilities, and transportation stations.
- Supporting projects that integrate oil and gas technologies with renewable energy sources such as solar and wind, to achieve both environmental and economic balance. Encouraging the use of low-emission energy sources in industrial operations to reduce the carbon footprint.
- Adopting carbon-capture solutions, analyzing emission impacts using artificial intelligence, and developing programs for the reuse of flared gases by converting them into industrial products or energy.
Innovation and Digital Transformation Initiative in the Energy Sector
This initiative aims to accelerate digital transformation in the oil and gas industry through the adoption of artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, and big data analytics. It seeks to enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and improve safety levels in field operations.
Using big data to predict failures and enable preventive maintenance, while continuously analyzing productivity to improve efficiency. Developing predictive models for highly accurate management of fields and industrial facilities.
- Applying robotics and intelligent control systems in drilling, transportation, and processing operations to enhance safety and reduce human errors.
Protecting the sector’s critical infrastructure from increasing digital threats and developing integrated security strategies that cover networks, devices, and software.
Capacity Building and Community Development Initiative
The initiative focuses on supporting local communities and host countries through training, qualification, and knowledge-transfer programs to ensure they directly benefit from oil and gas projects. The goal is to create real job opportunities and long-term economic development.
Designing specialized training programs to qualify national talent in technical, engineering, and administrative fields. Supporting continuous education programs and workshops to enhance knowledge and innovation among employees and local communities.
Implementing developmental and service projects—such as building schools, health centers, and improving infrastructure—to enhance the quality of life in areas surrounding industrial operations.
